About Me

Suroso was born on 1st December 1979 and is older son of the one brother. He finished kindergarten in 1986 and then continued study on primary school at SD N 1 Jaten, Selogiri, Wonogiri in 1987 and graduated 6 years after commencing the primary school.  After that, he went on study on Junior High School at SMP N 1 Selogiri and 3 years later he completed it in 1995. In 1998, he graduated from high school at SMU N 1 Tegal, having studied during 3 years. He then continued study on higher education at  Gadjah Mada University in Gudeg city and took civil engineering major.  He obtained Sarjana Teknik degree from GMU in 2002. He ever become a teaching and research assistant at department of Civil Engineering at GMU before he finally joined with Jenderal Soedirman University in 2003 as teaching staff at Department of Civil Engineering at Faculty of Science and Engineering.

As lecturer and researcher he is much more  interested in teaching and research in water engineering field such as water resources development and management (river system, reservoir system, lake system, and groundwater system), hydrology model (peak flow modeling, low flow modeling, flood and drought mitigation, climate change, conservation on catchment areas), soft computing modeling, erosion and sediment control (on field, river  and reservoir), irrigation development and management (surface irrigation, subsurface irrigation, pump irrigation, sprinkle irrigation, and drip irrigation), hydraulics structures (weir, etc), environmental engineering (environmental impact assessment, prediction and control of quality and quantity of surface and subsurface water, conservation model of reservoir, river and catchment area), statistics and probability (probability analysis, reliability, and risk factor assessment), and also computer modeling development especially in civil engineering.

He ever activated in students organization such as civil engineering students union especially in religious task (1999-2001),  computer services of civil engineering students (2000-2001), Assistant corps of civil engineering (2000-2002)

He ever got honors/awards including achievement graduation with cumlaude predicate from faculty of engineering gadjah mada university in 2002, runner up of assistant grant competition from department of civil engineering UGM on first semester in 2001/2002 academic years , winner/the best assistant of assistant grant competition from department of civil engineering UGM on second semester in 2000/2001 academic year , and winner/the best assistant of assistant grant competition from department of civil engineering UGM on first semester in 2000/2001 academic year.

Having joined with Department of Civil Engineering UNSOED, he had ever involved in program study development  grant activities such as director of laboratory education development competition program from 2006 to 2007, and was as a person in charge of one of program on competition grant program A1, directorate general of higher education, ministry of national education in 2007.

Suroso married to Ningrum in december 2004 and have got 2 children namely dhana and daffa… cv suroso
